Benfatti A/C and Heating Services May Be Disrupted

Due to possible hazardous driving conditions in coming days, our technicians will not be available for any services until the roads have been deemed safe to drive.

Heat Pump Owners

You may see “steam” coming from the top of your outdoor unit during its defrost function. Unless it smells like smoke, it’s not. If heat pump is not keeping up,  your system can be operated in its “emergency” heat function which will shut down the outdoor unit. This will only run the indoor unit electric heat and can be done on the thermostat.

For users of gas heat

Please check all carbon monoxide and smoke detectors for functionality. If using a fireplace,  please have a working fire extinguisher and ensure all branches have been cleared from around chimney for at least 10 feet.

Everyone

Wrap all exposed water pipes and leave water (hot and cold) dripping inside from multiple faucets.

Important News About Your Thermostat

Your system will not maintain 70 degrees when temperatures fall below 30 degrees for extended periods of time.  If the home is above 60 degrees, the heat is working.

Stay warm and safe!
